Labor Day Weekend Adventures

We had such a fun/lazy weekend. It felt like a little staycation only we were just hanging out in our house. I don’t know what it was about this weekend but I felt kind of like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’s grandparents. I spent as much time as possible in bed.

Saturday was a lot of fun. We started off with a little play date at the train park with my friend Ali and her two little boys. We rode the train, drank Icees, played on the playground and looked at this insane model toy train exhibit. Erin’s been waiting to go to the park so he could push P on a swing and his dream came true this weekend. She LOVED it. You could see her basically falling asleep as the warm air hit her face.

After the train park, we came home and got ready for the ultimate play date. Erin has had the same friends for like ever and it just so happens that basically all of them have had a baby in the past year (more like the past 3 months). Seeing all of them together really showed me how much of a big girl P has become… she’s like a monster. She kept leaning over and kissing the babies or blowing raspberries on their cheeks. Some of the babies handled it better than others. It will be nice when they are all a little bigger so P doesn’t look like godzilla crawling all over them.

Baby Ages L-R (1 month, 2 months, 10 months, 2 months, 3 months)

It also was the FIRST Arizona State football game of the season. Unfortunately, it was a pretty crappy game. We lost. Boo. At least P looked cute. I love that little floral crown. Perfect for all her little ASU onesies. I’m going to try and make an ASU romper out of one of my old college shirts so P can rock it for one of the upcoming games.

Erin was really sick on Sunday so we spend a lot of time just hanging out. He thinks he might have gotten food poisoning or something. It was a little scary because he kept curling up in a ball in pain. He said it felt like cramps so I tried giving him a heating pad but it didn’t really help. He’s still dealing with it today. Fingers crossed that it goes away by tomorrow so he can go into work. πŸ™‚
