Let’s do some infant math for how long it takes to accomplish a project.
Let’s say cupcakes. So making a batch of cupcakes takes me about an hour and a half (from batter to frosted result). To figure out infant time you take your average time to complete project (in this case, 1.5 hours) + (at least) 3 hours – your sanity / 16 lbs of cuteness attached to your hip during project = one batch of 12 cupcakes.
Yeah so you could say a whole lot of love, sweat and tears went into those cupcakes. We recently had 2 houses sell across the street from our house and they moved in last week. Really, it would be nice to welcome them into the neighborhood with some delicious baked goodies but for one of the neighbors, this was more of an apology.
We had a break in a week ago two doors down from our house and it really freaked us out. We were on crazy high alert when we noticed someone trying to get into the house across the street through the side garage door. He looked a little suspicious, walking to and from the wash and pacing outside so we did what any paranoid neighbor would do…. call the cops.
Welp the cops finally arrived and searched the house. After they did their search, they stopped by our house and informed us that the guy was in fact living in the house and just got the keys the day before. Oops. I swear I didn’t see anyone moving in! So that was embarrassing. We immediately went over to admit to calling the police (and offer some sort of explanation) and introduce ourselves. These cupcakes was our attempt to apologize for our previous welcome into the neighborhood. The cupcakes looked pretty so that helps. 🙂
Yesterday was a rough day. We are currently in a very clingy phase. Does this go away?? She’s incredibly sweet most of the time with lots of snuggles, sitting on my lap and kisses, and then the other time is basically just screaming and tears rolling down her face. The only way to break this habit is to go to a store. She loves to see different people and interact with them. Luckily, prepping for P’s party means lots of going to the store… and lots of projects.
P is not really a fan of projects and I’ve been very focused on completing them. Today I started on the bean bag toss game. The target is the shape of a barn. Adorable. I think it looks so cute that I don’t want to cut the holes in it but… I have to or no one can play. Palmer really liked pulling off the tape… well the tape in general. 😉
That’s pretty much where we are now.
